The series, noise and static, speaks to an interest in the aspect of ‘noise’, the degraded or lapsed transmission of broadcast images or sounds. These works explore the nature of the glimpse. They seek to capture and transmit—via ultimately static pictorial mediums—motion in its transitory moment between emergence and disappearance, to encapsulate the dynamic and momentary energy of that passage.
